About the Maker
Liz worked as a technician in the ceramics department at Falmouth University for 27 years before setting up her own workshop at home with her ceramic artist husband. Liz currently works in the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts at Falmouth University and shares a workshop and kilns at home with her husband.
Her Cornish childhood has influenced her work which is slip cast and decorated with sprigs that represent local fish species. The low fire alkaline glazes mirror the quality of the sea; turquoise, deep and reflective. “Living in Cornwall, you are framed by the ocean and embraced by the landscape; the interface between the two resonates energy and has a timeless quality.”
