About the Maker
Becky lives and works in Falmouth and studied Fine Art at Falmouth University (2001-2006). She is a senior technician in printmaking at the university and also assists regularly at the John Howard Print Studios. She specialises in drawing and printmaking, particularly etching and photo-etching.
Process
Becky's practice explores repetitive mark making, often characterised by lines or dots and the distinctive qualities of printmaking. With holiday snaps as her primary subject matter she employs the slow rendering and processing of marks in the print workshop to reconstruct enduring experiences within landscape. "I aim to allude to the fleeting visual moments experienced during journeys and holidays and how they might be recomposed by memory into something more remarkable or dreamlike."
