About the Maker
After relocating to Cornwall from London, Debbie has well and truly established herself within the South West crafts scene. From her weaving studio she delivers workshops, as well as continuing to practise her own craft; creating unique and individual textiles using traditional techniques. Debbie is a member of the Cornwall Craft Association and her work has been featured in Period Living, MyCornwall, Western Morning News and Workbox Magazine.
Debbie Rudolph produces her handwoven textiles using a Glimakra Countermarsch Loom and a Glimakra Regina TL5 Upright Tapestry Loom. With a bold approach to colour and texture, Debbie's textiles are both fresh and striking. "My aim is to produce unique textiles that are full of colour and texture and that give comfort and pleasure to their owners. I employ traditional techniques but my approach is quite bold and modern. I like to explore surface texture, to hint at other cultures and different eras, and I use a range of materials including cotton, mohair and wool."
